False alarm / Buddy Whitney St

At 1638 hrs, LVFD was dispatched to a fire alarm activated at the Career & Technology Center on Buddy Whitney street. Once keyholder arrived and alarm was checked, system indicated trouble faults and alarm. Alarm was reset and building was checked and no signs of fire was found. Alarm determined to be system malfunction. Cleared at 1700hrs.
Vehicle Accident / Lionel Washington

At 1847hrs LVFD was dispatched to a possible vehicle fire on Lionel Washington Ave. On arrival, vehicle had crashed into garage and vehicle was not on fire or leaking fluids. Acadian Ambulance checked out the subject. LVFD cleared scene at 1916hrs
Cooking Fire / N. Courseault

At 1637hrs LVFD was dispatched to N. Courseault for a possible structure fire. On arrival cause was determined to be a cooking fire confined to container that was already extinguished. LVFD ventilated smoke from residence and ensured no fire danger remained. Cleared scene at 1659hrs
Grass Fire / Second Street
|
At 2220hrs LVFD was dispatched to a grass fire in a ditch on second street. Engine 1 responded with 3 members, and completed extinguishing any smoldering remainders. LVFD cleared the scene at 2251hrs
